Not far from Dullsville, someone's lurking in the dark. . . .
After meeting the handsome and shadowy Alexander Sterling, goth-girl Raven's dark world has a bright, new glow. But as in her favorite movie, "Kissing Coffins," Raven knows that love always has its complications, especially when Alexander has a big secret to guard.
When Alexander suddenly disappears, Raven leaves Dullsville to begin a dangerous search to find him. Can she stay safe, no matter who--or what--she encounters on the way?

This is book #2 of the Vampire Kisses series. I read it because I enjoyed the 1st and had to know what was going to happen. Besides the book is really short and just a nice book to enjoy in the sun. So sit down and enjoy a light read because this one is a great one to read.

We continue where the first book left off, Raven is so upset because Alex is gone, just up and left her in Dullsville. While everyone in town just began to like him and his family, now their gone, only Raven wont tell anyone afraid people will think there is something wrong with this family. So Raven comes up with a bright idea when roses come for the girl at the travel agency. that she's going to visit her Aunt Libby in Hipsterville (the city) to search for Alex during spring break.

Only things aren't as easy as they seem. Shes scared that Alex could be in danger and that he is what she expected to be....a vampire. She sneaks away from her aunts theater show and goes to a club down the street called the "Coffin Club" to look for Alex. Inside she asks around for Alex's butler (Jameson) and ends up asking the wrong person. This is where she meets her second vampire (Jagger Maxwell), and hes not so nice. He tries to use her to find Alex, He knows that she will either find Alex or Alex will come to her rescue. Of course when Alex finds out that Jagger fallowed Raven all the way home he comes straight back and saves her from ending up spending eternity with Jagger. Jagger on the other hand is not so happy. So he retaliates by bringing his sister Luna. And things turn out to go from bad to worse.

So I will leave off there leaving you with a little cliff hanger for you to read and figure it out....of course the book is small. A lot of people don't enjoy it because its not like every other vampire books. The romance is strong and center. The vampires can't stand any type of light. They can stand candle light. I think I enjoy this series a lot because it reminds me of vampire stories growing up. Not the Twilight vampires. Like the movie The Little Vampire that I grew up watching. So this book has the old essence of vampires. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
